Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series, epic urban fantasy set in a richly imagined world of shadowhunters, vampires, werewolves, fairies, and more, has captured the imaginations and loyalty of hundreds of thousands of YA readers.
In Shadowhunters and Downworlders, Clare and more than a dozen top YA writers, including New York Times bestsellers Holly Black, Rachel Caine, and Kami Garcia, write about the series, its characters, and its world.
Inside you’ll read:
A cinematic tutorial on why the best friend (Simon) always loses out to the bad boy (Jace)The benefits (no, really!) of incest . . . at least in literatureWhat we can read between the lines of Alec and Magnus’ European vacationThe importance of friendship, art, humor, and rebellionAnd more, from the virtues of Downworlders to the naughty side of Shadowhunting
There are two things I look forward to in January: my birthday and this book. I don't usually read stuff like this, but I honestly cannot wait for this. All the authors involved in writing this are phenomenal and I'm overall really excited. Not only will it have information and discussion on The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices, but also over Cassie's new series: The Dark Artifices.
