Books To Movie Adaptations during 2013

Okay since it is officially 2013 and this is going to be a HUGE year for book to movie adaptations I have decided to make a list of some of the movies I am most looking forward to this year!

1. Beautiful Creatures: (February 13, 2013)

This movie is based off the amazingly beautiful books called The Caster Chronicles, or Beautiful Creatures  Beautiful Darkness, Beautiful Chaos, and Beautiful Redemption, written by the also amazing talented Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl.
This movie follows the adventures and mishaps of two teenagers, Ethan Wate (played by Alden Ehrenreich) and Lena Duchannes (Played by Alice Englert), who despite being born in two different reality's are drawn to each other before first sight. (Im going to leave a link the the theatrical trailer below!)

2. The Host: (March 29, 2013)

Alright, so this movie is based of a novel written Author of the widely popular author of the Twilight Saga, Stephanie Meyer. But, unlike most people, I had actually read The Host way before I ever read the Twilight books. In fact, this books is really responsible for me ever getting into reading in the first place! So to say I'm excited for this movie is a little of an understatement!
This movie is set in a post apocalyptic setting where the world has been taken over by over taken by mind stealing aliens. The main character Melanie/Wanda is a recently turned human, who is fighting to regain control of her body and trying to get back to her family she so desperately wants back.

3. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones: (August 23, 2013)
For some strange unknown reason it would not allow me to post the teaser poster for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. So, enjoy this beautiful picture of Lily Collins as Clary Fray and Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland/ Herondale/ Morgenstern/ Lightwood. xD
So, this is probably my second most anticipated movie for the year! I'm am a HUGE fan of anything Cassandra Clare writes and as such I have been waiting for this movie since they cast Lily Collins as Clary Fray sometime in December of 2011! Its time for people to see the world of the Shadowhunters! :)

4. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (November 21,2013)
Last but not least we have The Hunger Games: Catching Fire! Which according to Fandango.com is the most anticipated movie of 2013.
This movie of course follows the blockbuster movie, The Hunger Games, based off of the first of the three best selling novels by Suzanne Collins, which made some $400 million worldwide in the box office.  Also, much like the first movie, the second, boasts a just as star studded cast! Including the returning actors like the radiant Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, and Liam Hemsworth to name a few! But, they also add the amazing talented Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jenna Malone, and Sam Claflin! So, to say that this movie will be racking up some numbers this year during the holiday season is basically a given!
And since there is no trailer released yet for this movie I will leave you with the logo trailer! Happy reading/ move going people, I can tell this is going to be a great year! :) <3
