Review: Fever by Lauren DeStefano

Goodreads Synopsis:
Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.

"Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.

In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever."

Review :

Alright so, before I even start this I must tell you that I am currently super emotionally unstable due to this book and I have literally just finished it like 10 minuets ago, so it some of this makes no sense you can blame Lauren DeStafano, BECAUSE SHE DID THIS TO ME!
Okay, To say that Fever was an emotional roller-coaster may be the understatement of the CENTURY! One minute I was laughing, then I was sobbing my eyes out rolling around on my bed room floor, and by the end I was just sitting in my bed wondering what the heck just happened, and why the heck Rhine though that it was OKAY to go outside at NIGHT!
But, even with all of the glaringly apparent emotional turmoil, I loved this book! From the sweet sentimental moments between Rhine and Gabriel to the heart pounding times when Vaughn magically appears out of nowhere, I loved every moment of it!
To be honest, the only thing that I didn't quite enjoy about this books is Vaughn! Besides the fact that the man is just plain CREEPY, he has this strange way of keeping everyone under his strict control. Its like he is always ten steps ahead of everyone else at all times and its starting to drive me to the brink of insanity! I am literally pray that this guy has some serious karma coming his way in the next book.
Over all I give this book a 4.5/5. While I have seen multiple reviews of people saying they just couldn't get into this book, I on the other hand had the complete opposite problem I couldn't put this book down once I picked it up and now I'm literally counting down the days till Sever comes out! 29 DAYS AND COUNTING!
